Seminar: Chinese Foreign & Security Policy

Course Restriction: Graduate standing. Restricted to students pursuing master’s degrees in Diplomacy and Military Studies, Diplomacy and Global Security, Sustainability, a Certificate in National Security Studies, or a Certificate in Sustainability and Security Studies.

An overview of the foreign and security policies of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) since 1949, emphasizing the post-Cold War period, and its role as a regional power in Asia. The PRC-US relationship will also be explored, with reference to their shared and conflicting interests in Asia.
